It's as close to perfect as a 1910's lens can be. Has the black fuzzy velvet paper still inside to kill reflections. Perfect round aperture. A gorgeous gorgeous piece! It was made for 4X5.

A handful were made. How many exist? $5025.00 is probably too cheap. When it's gone it's gone, and I'll never see the likes of another one like it.

Really nice piece, but if you're looking for collectors go to Ebay. Most people on here are looking for free Kodak Instamatics or discontinued Polaroids.

Jim, is this the version with a quartz lens or glass?

Ha ha, no, this is the 'ordinary' version as far as I know. I didn't know any of the Struss lenses had quartz, or maybe they all do?
