I bet he'd have better luck selling it in peices.

That would bet my be as well. The sink alone would do as well or better on Craig's list.

Looking once again at the eBay listing this seller is a fool.

He would have gotten much more action already by starting at $1.00 and putting on a $1,000.00 reserve price!

With a high priced item you NEVER start an auction at your "lowest acceptable" price like this guy has done.

You want to create interest and action when auctioning something.

If this does sell - it will at or only a bit above the "asking price".

It won't sell at that starting price unless that special person chances along. He should have had a buy it now price along with the one grand. $2495 would steer the buyer into thinking a thousand looked low.

I agree with the last few posters. It's still a great deal and if I were flush and local I'd be on it like white on rice.

The dude's a fool though.

This guy lives in the same building as my grandmother. I've heard my grandmother talk about this guy, but I don't think I've ever met him.

I would jump on this if I had the money. But I don't.

Just thought about checking the result of this auction.
There was one bidder & it sold for the starting price of $1,000

I got to see the stuff before they buyer came to pick the stuff up. Pretty impressive. He hasn't used the darkroom in years. He's currently using a Canon 1DS.

I think the buyer did very well. I think the seller could have made a lot more if they'd have sold it in smaller lots and a WHOLE lot more if they'd have been willing to ship those smaller lots (not the sinks, obviously).

Has anyone seen how the lot with the enlarger has done for the seller?
