Holga photos-rodinal-what dilution

well, im getting a holga,
as all of you probably know, it has 2 shutter speeds and 1 apeture.
I am thinking of developing in rodinal at high dilutions for the compensating effect.
so, what dilutions, and agitation timeg eg every 3 min?

Try Rodinal 1+200 and just let it sit for a couple hours. Great fun, but you never know what you'll get.

I've used 1+100 for 40 minutes, agitating a couple inversions every ten minutes, plus an initial agitation around ten seconds. That will get a baseline development. If I think the exposures would benefit from more contrast, I increase the duration of the first and second agitations.

Hate to split hairs, but the Holga has only one shutter speed (around 1/100) and its second aperture is wider than the opening on the lens itself, which is around f/16. But no matter. It takes pictures. Have fun!

Ive heard that the holga has a apeture of f13
Stephaine, I have been using that for all 400 and 100 speed films for 35mm.
I have not found any edge effects, that i could see, but i use it instrad of xtol 1-1 for those times i guess the exposure for quick shots inside. negs turn out thinner than xtol negs, but print beautiflly,

I think the aperture is f/8 and shutter speed is 1/100, I usually push by one stop, I haven't tried EMA or Stand developement yet

I tried my Holga this weekend. It has been sitting in the closet for about five years. The pictures were surprisingly underexposed. It was Tri-X outside in the shade and developed in Pyrocat-HD 1:1:100 @ 21 C for 13 min. Seems like I will mix a new batch of Diafine.

I found that Diafine does a nice job with slower films used in a Holga, due in part to the compesating effect on the sometimes wildly varying lighting conditions with the fixed shutter speed camera.

Welcome to the wonderful, serendipitous and FUN world of Holga photography!I have never processed my own Holga film, but you might consider doing something that will up the contrast, just a little anyway.
