Hi!

What could be the cause for these holes in the film emulsion ?
J&C Pro 100 8X10, in stock Microphen for 8 min, water stopbath, Agfa fix for 6 min..

Best regards

Sheet film.
Is it possible that the sheet was double exposed?

(I was out shooting a couple of days ago, and after making an exposure, I pulled out my notebook to make some notes, and realized that I had already exposed that sheet of film. Apparently put the darkslide in the wrong way.)

No, I dont think so.. And the image is otherwise free from ghosts..

looks like improper fixing.

Like to much ?? Could be as I think that the fix could be to "strong"..

To me it looks like something happend in development, the sheet next to it (in a 2 sheet drum) looks fine..

Best regards

Did you presoak your film? It appears that perhaps one sheet adhered to another.
No, and I could follow that line of thinking, but the two sheets was in their respective places and not overlapping..

Did you, perhaps, have the emulsion facing the drum surface? Looks like the developer was blocked in at least two areas...

Also could be oil contamination on the surface of the sheet of film itself; maybe it was the leading or trailing edge of that particular slit on the web...

I had a similar problem the other week, film was stuck to other film in tank....but yours looks like a pattern to me, no?

Yes, its a pattern so it could very well be that I put the film the wrong way in the tank.

Thanks!

Looks like the film was loaded emution side in, and the developer could not flow thru the two sections of where it was touching the inside of the tube, and it made those channels thru the area. The black area would be clear on the negative, meaning it was undeveloped.

Be careful which way you load the film.
