Apologies if this post does not belong here, but there is no forum for information on new websites on APUG and I suppose this site might be of interest to many members:

It's a photo and image-sharing application for old pictures. All images are searchable by location with google maps:

There is a number of pictures there already, mostly from the UK, US, Ireland, Germany and Poland.

I've moved this to "Book, Magazine, Gallery Reviews, and Shows," since online galleries seem to fit best in that category. "Antiques and Collecting" is mainly about antique cameras.

Shorpy (http://www.shorpy.com/) is another interesting site that posts old pictures. They have a magnificent collection of 4x5 kodachromes from the '30s and '40s
