Don't worry; your pre-bath does not affect the development time in any meaningful way. Try the Digital Truth time linked to by @Daniela and adjust to your liking based on the results you get.thank you very much. I forgot to tell that I do a pre bath of 2:30 min with destilated water, so I think that´s not being considered in the Digital Truth table.

The intention is aiming a compensated negative.
400 vs. 250 is a small difference, the lighting, subject and how exactly you meter plays a bigger role. I'd go with the standard developing time from Kodak as a starting point and, as others have said, adjust from there if necessary.

Welcome to Photrio!
Thank you for the kind words.I loved your photos! Can you share your process?
I checked again Digital Truth table and it´s ok. I´m following an argentine photographer called Fernando Gonzalez Casanueva and read in his wonderfull book on Zone System that TriX ISO 400 with an E.I250 is developed with D76 (1:1) in 10:15 min. (with a pre soak of 2:30 min in destilated water). The intention is aiming a compensated negative. I will do the process today and let you know my results. I guees that if Digital Truth recommends 9:45 and Gonzalez Casanueva 10:15 min for this process is not big difference
Hi Carlos, I´m from Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut
A place I must return to. I have a friend I must visit.
The only film camera I brought broke and can only shoot D....
The petrified tree park is a great place for large format B&W photography.
Its cliffside beaches are also beautiful.
I am in Buenos Aires and will be traveling frequently to San Carlos de Bariloche.
If you want D-76 to be even more of a compensating developer, try at a 1:3 dilution.
