Hey, Been into photography for a while, but seriously for a year. Got a Nikon D80 at the start of the year... WAIT! Before I'm banned for using digital, I just bought a Bronica ETRSi! :D Oh how I love this thing.

Been trying to find a forum for weeks that is dedicated to film and here it is!

Developed my first roll of film by myself EVER the other day! Better than sex! It really was a buzz!

Well, I look forward to mining this bank of information and picking your brains to bits! Oh and I'm in New Zealand if your still wondering.

welcome from the wet canadian coast.

Welcome from soon to be snowy New England!

gene

Welcome from halfway down a glass of finest Island malt!

nick

There are a few of us in AKL area so flick us an email if you head up this way

haha, no. I avoid that place like the plague! I met a guy who knows a guy...kinda purchase. (and NO, not stolen stuff!!!)

I'm down in Wellington (Well I'm in Kaitaia at the moment), but I'd love to meet some more of the local film users, will definitely be in contact if I'm in that neck of the woods!

Good to see a few NZers and OZ people here.

Welcome to Prisneyland, Fish:D!

Hiya Sean,

Not sure why but the regional forum doesn't attract that much traffic, any thoughts ?

I'd be keen for an NZ meet-up - we're prob all too busy shooting or working ? (or crafty enough to do both at once)...

I'm especially keen to meet other large format shooters now that I actually do it myself - previously it was just you and the guy I bought the camera off (sheesh!)

Nick

Insert obligatory Australian/New Zealander joke here.
Welcome to APUG, I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information to help you along your way. That camera you have there has been on my wish list for a while too, so enjoy.

Fleath, yes, my thoughts exactly.
If it's better than sex you should try something other than a sheep... ka-ching.
Why don't NZ men take their girlfriends to the cricket? Afraid they'll jump the fence and eat the grass... ok, better stop there.

Come to think of it when I developed my first roll 26 years ago I think my young bride was in bed alone while I was in the bathroom with a batch of Ilford chemicals. I can still recall the excitement. Welcome and may you have many years of film fantasy ahead of you.

Welcome from another Wellingtonian, on a glorious, calm, sunny, warm first day of 2008.

There are quite a few of us down here shooting that old stuff called film. I'm usually shooting old MF coupled rangefinder folders, with some LF stuff every now and then.

Absolutely brilliant day huh ...

A fine start to 2008 - I'm off to Great Barrier with a Diana tomorrow, keeping the weight down for a change

Good Day and Welcome! While I have been to NZ a few times, howdy from northern California.

I went to uni for a year at Lincoln College outside Christchurch...never saw such a bunch of more nervous-looking sheep.

Vaughn

Great barrier! Argh, lucky for some. I've been there once and it was fantastic. But a Diana? I guess to each his own.

Lincoln College? I've lived my life in NZ, been right round the world a few time but spent next to NO time in the South Island :S This year!...
