Hello, all.
so many times, when searching a film subject, APUG posts would be the answer  I can really appreciate forums/sites like this.

even though I sanp, snap, snap my digital Nikon, I always carry one film camera...or 4, with me. certainly need to expose more film, on average.
Best fun I have is loading different films in my 35's. an F4 typically has a fuji color film in it, an N80 and F100 with 100/400 or what-not. and some pics with a Pentax 645. Have a working Zeiss Box-Tengor, but well, I have to figure out that "point and shoot" method..have a roll to develop, i bet it will be...really really dark.. or complety void

Most recently aquired a used Omega 4x5, 2 lenses, and the crazy idea I can make pictures with it. good-bye bank account. It's always something, isn't it ? :D

looking foward to learning a lot here.

best regards, bryan

Welcome from Indiana. What part of northern Texas are you located? Are you in the panhandle? I travelled back and forth between Santa Fe, where I lived at the time, and my hometown in Indiana where I am now, several times back in 2007. Got some magnificent photos, it is a beautiful area that i'd like to photograph again in greater depth.

Thanks for the welcome, I am an hour North of Dallas, about 25 minutes south of the Oklahoma Border and Red River

Ahh ok, you're way south of where I was then. I drove I-40 through Amarillo during my trips.

Welcome from England. A little bit hanging off the south coast (as Frank Zappa once described it).

thanks kindly !
Steve, looking forward to your camera building blog additions. I am a woodwrecker of sorts, though the tools are cobwebbed from no use in a good many years. This LF "thing" really interests me in getting back to the Saw. My Garage-shop is such a mess...might take longer to clean it up and square away, than to build a camera! yes its that bad!

Bryan,
Welcome from the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. I had to move here because it is a flat as where I grew up, Fort Worth and later on a ranch between Chico and Bowie. I miss my north texas blue sky. Great area full of wonderful art. If your in Fort Worth, check out William Campbell Contemporary Art, old buddies who still have some of my work.
look forward to more from you,
Michel

Welcome, Neighbor!

Hour north of Dallas almost in Oklahoma? Don't they call that Frisco, TX??????? Grinning. My home is in Wood County, SE of you and about 10 miles NE of the Brookshire's in Hawkins on US 80.

Glad to hear that you have a 4x5 camera. I have 2 myself. Sheet film rocks! Look in the Texas forum here for details of the Texas Church Project show that opens Saturday in Dallas. Do try to get down there if you can. You will enjoy the show!

Cheers!

Wayne
