Just found this forum yesterday- was looking for a film community as Ive recently returned to film after 6 years in a digital wilderness. I shot film years ago- rangefinders- but wanted to experience SLR. Got a Minolta Dynax 5 to use my Minolta/Sony lenses, then a Nikon F80. I also love the Olympus and Konica compact rangefinders ( XA, C35, etc.). Have a Viewmaster stereo cam, and a folder-Kershaw Penguin.
Would love to own a Voightlander and a Contax but thats future purchases. My next will be a scanner to do negatives to share on line.
Looking forward to checking out the forums !

Cath

Hello Cath and welcome from the far Southwest of England. Allways good to hear about Digi users returning to film and make your next purchase an enlarger instead of a scanner and get those negs onto silver paper

I also own a Kershaw Penguin too.

Bill

Thanks Bill . I never even considered an enlarger !! Don't give me ideas.......LOL I spend enough as it is .!

Welcome from the middle of England!

The best thing about enlargers is they're often practically given away.

Steve.

Welcome indeed Cath, nice to have another lady joining us, and returning to film, I always knew that digital was a craze that would soon pass like hula hoops, yoyos, and deely boppers.

Another warm welcome from Northern England. If you are ever around Wigan and see a chap with his head under a dark cloth it will probably be me.

Haven't seen anyone under a dark cloth around Wigan for ages!
Do you show any LF photographs locally? It would be interesting to see and compare to the usual digi stuff from the Wigan and Chorley (where I live) clubs.
Cheers
Jeff

Welcome Cath. It's wonderful to see the return of another "digi-prodigal daughter" !!

Welcome Cath, from near Washington, DC. Is Minnie a dog or a cat??

Welcome from Stanwood, Washington! It's great to have you.

And from the Western reaches of North Carolina... agree on the enlarger.. but a scanner does help me collate shots and study for the final printing foray, but whatever you do:keep shooting and seeing this distressed old world as long as we have it left.... before the politicians destroy it!

Welcome, Cath, from Indiana in the United States. And I agree with the others who suggested that you need an enlarger!
