Hi to everyone from Athens, Greece.

I’m Dimitris (dim). I’ve started to explore the photographic paths from the September 2004. As you have guess I don’ t know much about photography, but I want to learn more.

Currently I own a Zenith –E with Helios 50mm, a Pentax MZ-M with SMC 38-80mm and a Canonet GIII QL17 (I love this camera).

I do develop my own negatives and recently I have started to print them also.

I’m very interested of the photographic work of Sudek, Atget, Decarava, Weegee and Dorothea Lange. That doesn’t mean I do not like others. But these photographers touch my senses more.

I’m very happy to be here and I hope not only to have your help and companionship but also, when possible, to help others.

Hi again.
Dimitris

p.s. excuse my poor English. I haven’t used the language for a long time. I’ ll try to impove.

Hi Dimitri,
Always good to have another Greek at APUG. I've started exploring rangefinders lately and I'll be interested of you post any of your Canonet pics to the gallery.
Best wishes,
James (an American import to Greece)

Welcome to the club Dimitri!
The Greeks here have started to multiply which is a good thing.
I hope some day we can have our own forum to speak about matters that
relate to analog photography in Greece.

In any way, have fun you you will soon discover that this here is an excellent place for information but also you will be quite surprised to discover what a friendly and cosy hangout APUG is also.

Welcome from Sydney Australia.

I think I have some problems with English also. You are in good company.

Enjoy your time on APUG. It's a GREAT site. And the people are the BEST!!!

Good Morning, Dim,

Welcome from Illinois. The Canonet is a neat little camera; mine still gives good results.

Welcome to APUG, Dimitris!
You'll find many new friends and lots of lively conversation here!

Καλησπέρα Δημήτρη,

It's always good to see new people around here, not to mention seeing more Greeks makes me smile. I'm getting tired of the discussions in DPGR, they seem to cycle more and more around the same subjects. I'm in the proccess of learning myself, so you can bet we'll be exchanging opinions!
