I am feeling a bit over my head with this APUG crowd. I am very much an amateur trying to explore all that my G1 has to offer. Any response would be appreciated.

Theres no reason to feel that way. Everyone here started somewhere. Some started years before others by age or because they started late in life. It doesn't matter. What does matter, is your interest in shooting film. Never hesitate to ask for advise,you will get many opinions, and many good sound answers. We are all here to promote one another, so welcome to Apug, and ask many questions.
