Several years ago I won a 6x9 format enlarger on eBay. The enlarger had no information included with it, and apart from a sticker specifying the enlarging bulb to be used and the fact that it has a 90mm Perflex lens, I have no idea who made this, or how to mount a negative in the carrier. Here's an image of the enlarger:

and here's one of the carrier. I presume I have to trim and insert a single negative in this enlarger?

Any help that can be offered would be appreciated. I've never used an enlarger before and Bremerton, Washington isn't exactly teeming with analog photographers.

The style of your enlarger is much like an older 4x5 I have hidden away that I always assumed was a Testrite. Mine has a glass 4x5 negative holder

I think Jim is right. The base and column are exactly like an older Testrite copy stand I have.

Here is the largest size image of the enlarger:

The holder came with a single piece of glass. The holder none too helpfully labeled "Color Head" has two clips at either side. The clear glass area is 91 x 62mm.

Here's a top view of the carrier and glass:

Do I sandwich the negative between this piece of glass and a second one? Or just rely on the clips to hold the negative flat?

They were commonly left by aliens from space weren't they.:D
