Hello,

I just got my Rollei back from service with two annoying faults still in it and since the service people are on vacation i can't get them fixed as soon as id like. Prior to service the camera has been safely in a closet for 30 year after seeing a lot of use.

1. Film feeler doesn't work with out one round of tape on the opposing roll, this is somewhat solved at the moment, i'm just having a hard time getting used to having a bit of tape going around inside the camera. So far i've only used Fomapan 200, so this might be caused by too thin film also.

2. With every roll, somewhere between frames 2-6, the shutter gets "stuck" with film advance and opens when being cocked and closes when advance crank is turned back.
Fiddling with the double exposure switch releases the crank and allows to cock the shutter again. After this the camera works normally, but you loose at least 3 frames due to rather heavy overexposure. The guy who did the service guessed that the shutter release button doesn't return fully. Can I just spray some CRC to the shutter release button to see if this helps or will this lubricate shutter blades and everything else as well?

Thank you for reading this far.

Please don't spray anything in your camera. Wait until the service guys get back and give it back to them. It sounds like it may be a simple adjustment in the shutter area but more lubrication may mess things up really good.
