I bought a 100mm x 100mm wooden lens board for my Zone VI camera. It did not fit. I discovered that I have the Zone VI Wista Version 4 x 5.
I measured the opening at 96mm x 99mm and sanded the board to fit the opening. Now the lens board appears to be too thick. It is 3mm thick (1/8").
The 2 prongs that hold the lens board into the bottom of the opening don't appear to be wide enough to accept this board? They look closer to 2mm wide.

Should I reduce the thickness of this board to 2mm? Does anyone have this camera or know the exact thickness of a board that will insert into it correctly?
If I reduce the overall thickness of the board, should I sand the front of the board or the small flange on the back of the board?

Am I missing something here? I don't want to force anything. Thanks in advance. My first box of film arrived in the mail today.

My Wista Zone VI uses Linhof Technika compatible lensboards. I don't have a photo of it with lensboard, but here's a few to compare with your camera. Somewhere (I can't remember where) the wood is marked Wista. I use metal boards like this.

That is the same Zone VI camera model. Thanks for the Linhof Technika tip. I hate to continue to modify the board that I have. I'd like to be sure that I have a correctly fitting board for my initial tests.

My Zone VI Wista from 1979 uses Wista lensboards or Zone VI boards. The Wista boards looks exactly like the Technika boards mgb74 linked to above.

Thanks, I did a search for both boards and found a technika board. I did notice the Wista lens boards looked very similar, before I read your post. That is good to know for the next time. I appreciate the input mgb74 and Alan9940.

For my Anba Ikeda I cut linhof size flat lensboards on a table saw from 3/32 inch aluminum. They have given no trouble, even without any light trap on the back that some boards have.

A version of Toyo boards also fit.
