Hi all,

I am working on the history of the FOTH DERBY and, living in Australia, I can't chase up a number of references...they're just not held in the libraries here it would seem..(At lest can't find them on the Libraries Australia Database)

If anyone among you owns any of these publications, I would be keen on scans/digital photos of the pages mentioned below (and any others 1930s publications that may refer to Foth Derby and Foth-Flex cameras...but I have the French catalogues already)

keen to hear from you
Cheers
Dirk

Thanks Andy,
Yes I have seen the French catalogue on Sylvain's site (and I have many of them in originals on my shelf).
It is the US sources I am short of (but if anyone has them, I would also be interested in scans of pages from French suppliers other than Photo-Plait and Photo-Hall)

I have a Foth Derby that was my grandpa's during WWII. He arrived on Normandy beach the day after D-day. I'm not certain where he bought the camera, but it was definitely in Europe. My post is definitely a "for what it's worth" kind of post, but I find it interesting that you're researching this camera specifically. What is its appeal to you?

If you can find these resources in Lawrence, KS (the University of Kansas), I'll be glad to go make copies or scans.

I am intrigued by them (and thus collect them)... pity is that the shutters are so tricky....but may restore a Derlux soon..
as you own one of them if you have the time and inclination, please help out with some data. Have a look at:

and if you can find the articles I am looking for at UKansas that would be great!)

Dirk,

I'll check for the numbers and add them to the flickr discussion. I probably don't have time to do the searching myself, but if you could tell me the call # and which library they're in, I'd be more than happy to go get them.

review or adverts for Foth Derby
Volume 2, 1938,p 8
Volume 2, Sept 1938,p 4

can anyone help out?
