Help with choosing

I am looking for a 35mm camera for a helios 85mm 1.5 any suggestions on a good and decent camera to look for that is not super expensive? I have not bought a 35mm in over 15 years besides some older cameras to play around with. Any help and advice is appreciated.

42mm mount? If so a classic Spotmatic with a working meter.

yes 42mm mount, I plan on adapting the lens to others as well in due time and if adapters are not made, I will make them

Pentax Spotmatic for sure.

Canon EOS 3 or a 1n. At the point you're using that lens, what goes behind it really doesn't matter as you'll have zero automation from the lens. I have one and I use it on my digital - you'll love the lens although do be aware of what the out-of-focus effects look like - play around to know how to use it or you may get surprised by when you do and don't get 'the swirlies'.
