I'm doing a little lens shopping and want to make sure I don't make a mistake from ignorance of Sinar's shutters.
I have an Intrepid 4x5. I don't have a Sinar camera or Sinar DB behind-the-lens shutter. I do think I understand the DB system and know I can't use those lenses with my Intrepid.
But I also see Sinaron lenses mounted in what looks like bog-standard Copal shutters, and sold without a lens board. However, they often have a name that gives me pause, like "Sinar BT Copal 1". Are these normal Copal shutters that can be mounted in a regular lens board and used like any other Copal shutter, or is there some gotcha I'm unaware of?
In other words, does a "Sinar BT Copal 1" mount into a normal Copal 1-sized lens board and operate like a standard Copal shutter. No special fancy-dancy Sinar double shutter release or timer or robot controller needed, etc.?
