Help Troubleshoot Film Artifacts Using Toyo 6x9 RFH

Hello, I shot this film recently using Toyo 6x9 RFH with a Toyo 45 AII field camera and Rodenstock Apo Grandagon 45mm lens on 2006 exp Ilford Pan F roll film.

Notice the veritcal artifats. This film was processed at pro lab.

I suspect the issue had something to do with fillm back rollers and/or transport.

I made small ratchet movements to advance film and they seem to correspond to the space between marks.

Any ideas?

Those look like marks that came from development. If they were related to your film advancing technique, wouldn't they be all the way across the neg, and not just at the top? Is there a reason why you advanced the film that way?

This film processed at professional dip and dunk line. I never had problems at that lab. PS: I made small gentle ratchet movements to advance the film in order to preserve the internal metal claw and ratchet, etc. I already had this used film back serviced at Mamiya and there are no longer spare parts. But I digress.

Try winding on in a changing bag for next film... or pressure sensitive black tape all possible light leak door areas...

Looks like light leaks or processing.
Your method of advancing the film will cause more wear than advancing in one stroke.

In regards to light leak: there are thin dark stripes here, so what are those? A light leak should show as a white stripe, no?

No idea what caused this. Might be your handling, might be processing problem. Doesn't look like a light leak to me as that should be a white mark. Also bromide drag looks different on 120 film then these marks as far as i know.

You might want to try a different film next time. PanF is not the easiest film to handle. When the same patern shows again it is probably in your handling the film transport.

How long has it been since you had the back serviced at Mamiya? I suspect pressure exposure caused by an advance system malfunction/too tight of a supply roller putting excess pressure on the film at the start of the advance.

If it is caused by pressure, that could be due to naked roll at bottom of camera bag being squashed. This actually occurred for this roll.

I changed the light seals and then shot some rolls this week. Will get them processed soon.
