Looking for some help to id the unit in the photo, also hope to get a copy of a manual or set of specs.
The Leedal site is not really set up for self serve help.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm no expert, but sometimes I think I've never seen two Leedal assemblies that look the same. No doubt each has been modified to some degree to fit it's particular use.

What issue are you experiencing?

Does it matter which end gets hooked up to the hot?
What is the minimum volume required for the unit to work properly?
What do the different parts do?
Thanks

The bell-shaped pieces on the left and right look to me like pressure regulators. Usually there would be one-way check valves installed in that position. These might be either, or serve both functions. The check valves prevent water from flowing from the hot side to the cold side (or vice-versa) through the valve.
If there is a part number cast in the housings, there may be more info available via google.

The outlet is off the "T" fitting under the large thermometer, the chrome plated fitting on the left of the outlet is a anti-syphon valve which prevents water from being drawn into the plumbing from a sink or washer if the incoming water pressure drops. That valve is a common plumbing code requirement.
The unit most likely is set up for the hot water to come in on the left, with cold on the right. There may be labels cast into the housing of the mixing valve. It would probably work either way, but the action of the adjusting knob might be backwards.
The minimum flow for it to be accurate is probably around .5 - 1 gal/minute

I think bdial nailed it. I suspect the 2 smaller dial indicators are measuring psi, though they could also measure incoming temp. The purpose of the valve on the right incoming side escapes me, unless the pressure on one side (hot or cold) is so much greater than the other; but the pressure regulator should handle that.

The used Leedal unit I got and just put into service looks quite different. But it has a problem that might be solved by that valve shown on the right side water inlet.
I sometimes have trouble reaching 100F on the output side even though the hot water supply is clearly above that temperature. To overcome that, I then have to open the cold water on some other faucet which appears to bring down the cold water pressure reaching the Leedal mixing valve. And then its output is able to reach 100F.
So maybe if I had that extra valve on the cold water inlet, it could solve this problem for me?

It might. But those valves can be a bit pricey if you're not sure they'll do the job. You might consider a simple stop cock on the cold side. The disadvantage is that you'll have to manually adjust each time you use it. But if that works you can invest in the pressure regulator.

Are you able to isolate what is going on when you have this problem? Does it happen in winter but not summer? Is hot water being used elsewhere in the house? Have you measured the hot water temp where it reaches the valve?

I need to add some praise for Leedal here. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I have a different Leedal unit, the "WCP 25". I emailed them (using the address on their Web site) about the problem I was experiencing. Got a reply within a few hours with a parts diagram and detailed maintenance instructions. That was followed by a phone call where I was given additional trouble shooting tips. This helped me to fix the water temperature problem: I had to disassemble the unit and flush the hot water line to get out some sediment in there. Now it seems to be working fine.
This is awesome customer service for an 18 year old device that I bought second-hand!

Hot is always (?) on the left. I have a similar unit without the extras. I am adding intake filters to both hot and cold to prevent sediment getting into the unit.
