I was given a Russian ZORKI mint with 50mm f2 JUPITER lens BUT I cannot USE it as the take-up spool will not come out of the Take -up Chamber no matter how I 'Wiggle and Pull' it and also tried small amount of OIL with a Syringe and needle -- HELP ! can you advise which SCREWS to undo to access the Take-up Spool

You need to take out the takeup spool because this is a Leica-style bottom loader? (I've never handled any model of Zorki.)

I would try wrapping the spool here with a piece of rubber or thick cloth, then using a pair of pliers to rotate the spool back and forth in small movements on its axis while pulling down. The camera should be gently but firmly secured in a vice or other strong support while you do this.

You could also try putting a strong piece of string through the spool's slot and pulling straight down.

Or, some way of putting pressure on these two points, like by opening a large pair of needlenose pliers on them (again, use rubber to not mar the camera):

The Zorki 1 (which I think is what the OP has) is a bottom loader; so he can't get at the spool in the manner suggested.

Pete, I've made some comments in the other forum on which you have posted this question.

Does it not move at all, or does it wiggle a little bit and then not come out?

I have a later Zorki with a removable back (so not the same) and removable takeup spool. The spool fits to the wind shaft with splines that are not a tight fit and should not bind. However, when you try to take the spool off, there are some rivets holding the film clip to the spool, whose inner heads can catch on the end of the wind shaft until you wiggle it just right.

If you wind up needing to take off the body shell there are some suggestions here:

YO !! Many THANKS for all your HELP ! I THOUGHT there would be some HELP HERE BUT -- Good NEWS -- we had the Monthly 'Tea Club' of Brentwood & District Photographic Club yesterday when several of us meet up in a Brentwood Cafe and Drink TEA / COFFEE eat CAKE and Talk PHOTOGRAPHY and a Mate had a go and GOT IT OUT ! So I lubricated inside the spool where it slips over the spindle and have now loaded a film ! YO !

Great news, hope you enjoy the camera.
