Help Mr. Wizard - my Pt/Pd's aren't clearing.

Here is an idea: Why not ship it with EDTA di-sodium? This is not quite as soluble as the tetra-sodium variety, but it is acidic in solution and you get the best of both worlds - the chelating effects of the EDTA organic molecule, and the acidic pH of an acid clearing bath?

I do have some of the EDTA di-sodium. And getting it to dissolve is difficult. Any advise on amount to use per liter -- and the best/easiest way to get it to dissolve?

I use hot water, and I stir like hell. I can't get more than about a heaping tablespoon per liter at most to dissolve. I generally use two big tablespoons of the stuff in 3 liters of 120-130 degree water.

What is going on with the B&S carbon site. I visited last night and it was a full fledged porno site, but with all of the B&S whistles and bells. I tried to post a question there today, but get an error message. Thought you might have some idea what is going on since you are one of the moderators I believe.

I recall Dick mentioning at one time he was having trouble with the Russian porn spamers. They sure had control of him last night when I visited the site!!

No problems here -- and no sign of any porn. At least right this minute. I checked the site a few times in the past week and saw no problems. I just posted to the site with no problems.

Is it possible that you are being re-directed from the site somehow?

Sandy -- I double checked...you must have the address of the old B&S Carbon Forum that was abandoned when Dick found a better, more secure provider.

No, I have the new address. In fact, that is the only address I have. What happened was that l logged on and the site simply turned into a porno site, with the same thread and forum structure of the B&S forum, with the B&S logo and everything. It remained that way until I closed the window. Next time I opened it the site was normal.

And no, I am not high on anything nor hallucinating. This really happened, and it was one of the strangest things I have seen on any of the forum I visit.
