Hello Folks, a few months ago, I purchased a Leedal Economix temperature control fixture for my darkroom sink. I had a plumber come out this morning and install it. He had it all connected up, turned on the water, and nothing came out. Absolutely nothing. This guy is a professional plumber and has done good work for us before. There are two water inlets, hot and cold, and it's hard to believe he screwed up both of them. The old fixture was working yesterday, and there are no shut-offs in the line.

I have the water inlet (upper right) cranked all the way out. I have put the temperature control knob a full revolution or two in both directions. Nothing.

Am I missing something? Is there a switch somewhere that turns this on? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-- Mark

Can't tell if it's the case for yours, but the usual set up for these would include check valves on each inlet that prevents backflow. This is so that the mixing valve doesn't cause a flow loop between the hot and cold supply pipes when the outlet is turned off. If the valves were backward then nothing would flow.
But that should have been an obvious thing for your plumber.
Aside from that, somethng is probably stuck internally in the mix valve. I'd probably try contacting Leedal.
