Turned knob the wrong way, pop. If you can point me in the right direction to fix this.

Thank you

I do not know that very slide, but to me there should be 3 set screws at the slide that arrest the wedge by sticking into these 3 slits. Put that wedge back into the slide with the slits facing outwards. There is only one orientation at which this works. Then, whith one finger holding the wedge in place, push the whole shebang again over its counterpart, not shown in the photo.

Thank you. I'll try it later.

Firstly I would advise you to study the mechanism (you can also look at the rear standard it works the same as the front).

Be super careful and don't force anything as you can basically ruin the camera in short order. I've got five Normas but none as ever come apart like that. Did you buy it from Catlabs, maybe they can help put it back together. Most likely it is not damaged, maybe the screws came loose? Another possibility is sending to Glenn Evans in Chicago to rebuild, and I've also heard good things about Precision Repair out west.

Last cheapo possibility is to buy for a hundred+ bucks another Norma front standard, cherry pick the best parts, and then sell it for parts to partially recoup your purchase. I often buy busted stuff and combine the pieces to get something.

Lesson definitely learned. Yes, Catlabs. Thank you.

You also can always buy a used near mint standard at ebay, for around $100, and you will have the parts from the old one.

Well OK then

So you are back in business?

A rear standard can be substituted for the front, but the knobs and levels will be on the other side.

But of course you would have to take the shift part of the camera apart and flip everything around maybe? And then you have the dreaded ball bearing in the detent to deal with. If handy with small tools and precision mechanisms of course go for it!

Did you see my post about the Norma Polarizer? There is one original Norma one on Ebay for 85 Bucks

Thanks. None there, I've checked. Omw to PPR Camera store.

You may wait several days, sure more are offered, these are recent sells:

Right now there is one in Hungary, but you may not see it because only shipping to the EU, you may contact seller to arrange a shipping to the US.

Also you have one in Connecticut at auction and make offer, it lacks the bubble level, I'd offer $85, if sellers offers $140 then I'd offer $95:
