HELP! Installing new Jobo lift clips

If there is a MAJOR flaw with the CPx2 system, it's the f*%@&*^#king clips of the lift. I had to replace the clips a number of times now, and at $25 a pop...

Anyway, I'm still not sure how to reliably seat the clips so that it's flush. If you look at the photos, the upper left one is perfect. I have now gotten the lower left one to seat correctly as well, but having trouble with the ones on the right side of the images. They stick out at the top and thus would not hold the cogs.

Of course as you might know, if you have done this before, the face plate does not come off (unless there's another trick I don't know), due to the white "armature" thing, so not sure exactly how to do this. Any advice other than chunking the unit out is welcome Thanks

This takes you to a bunch of older documentation that Catlabs maintains. Scroll down and bulletin 3 has details on replacing the white clips, (version 1 of lift). Looks straight forward.

Thanks, that's the instructions I used originally. The problem is this:

9.0 Insert the white retention clips. Make sure the bottom edge of the clips is underneath the black ledge molding located on the rear side of the lift arm. Use a small standard blade screwdriver to "encourage" the clip over the ledge molding

If only they show a cross section of what is black ledge molding looks like or what "encourging" the clip means...

OK, I managed to "encourage" the lower right to seat correctly as well by poking a screwdriver from the back side, and heard a "click". Where that click came from, I'm not sure. The upper right is still an issue since I can't poke a screwdriver there due to the shaft unit.

That designer needs to be forever forced to use Mac System 7 or Windows Vista, and Unix System 6.

OMG, I got it working. There is enough space to poke a small flat blade screwdriver to the upper ones. Poke, push, jab, and somehow it would click, in a very satisfactory "F*ck, it did it!" way.
