What a monster! Can this be used on some large format camera (I'm guessing it has big coverage)? It would be interesting to see the results.
as mentioned, x-ray. the flange-focal distance will be tiny. (e.g. too short to use.)

Used to take pictures of a fluoroscopy screen or cathode ray tube. In the 'pre-image intensifier' era, fluoroscopy screens were very dim and the motion was not frozen, unless the subject was dead. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_adaptation_goggles ) . Thus the need for a large aperture.
