It is probably worth what you paid for it.
Given that it's a Carena, it was undoubtedly sold under other labels -- as has been mentioned. Carena never sold a valuable camera -- as has been suggested. Doesn't "Carena" mean "bargain" in Scottish?
The lens, if you can get it off -- and it works -- is probably worth more than the camera!
As to repairs, your best hope is to figure out what camera it really is, for example a Chinon XYZ, and find a service manual for that camera -- but that could prove next to impossible. You could try some general camera repair books, but you'll need the tools, patience -- and skills might help. But what have you got to lose? You might learn a lot.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think it could be one of the reasons why the lens is stuck. That switch feels a bit loose, so it might not be working properly. In fact, it has a small screw and can be taken apart, but once opened, there’s not much to see.Looking at the manual, did you see this?

Also, the camera can take Exacta Bayonet Mount lenses, which definitely points it toward Praktica manufacture in MHO.

Search around in here and you might find it:
I'm not very experienced with this, so I might be wrong, but from what I’ve seen, I don’t think it’s an Exakta mount. It looks more like a Cosina/Chinon-type proprietary bayonet. Is that an Exakta lens mount???
