Hi everyone, I’m Gioele Mezzanotte. I’ve been lurking on Photrio for years, but this is my first post and I could use some help.

I have an Olympus Zuiko 50mm f/2 and I’m trying to figure out the correct order for disassembling the front lens elements. There’s a small fungus spot inside, right in the center, and I’d like to clean it, but I haven’t been able to find any detailed information about this lens online (just an exploded diagram).
On the front I can see two rings that could be unscrewed: one in the middle holding the front element, and a larger outer one that’s harder to access. I’ve already disassembled other Zuikos without issues, but I can’t find any clear reference for this one, so I’d rather proceed carefully. I also tried using a rubber friction tool on it, but it doesn’t seem to work.

If anyone has experience with this lens, your advice would be greatly appreciated!

To @Mezzanotte , elcome to Photrio!
For those who, like me, don't speak Italian, the title translates to the following in English: "HELP Automatic front disassembly group of the macro Zuiko 2/50"

I only have experience with the 50mm f/1.4; it was very hard to disassemble due to threadlocker. Maybe that's the case here? You can wick some acetone to see if it helps. From the exploded diagram it looks like you only need to remove the central retaining ring to gain access to the lenses.
