Hello everyone, I am new here and new to photography.

This seems like the place to be and from what I have read and seen its the only place to be for inspiration and advice.

I have posted some photos in the gallery it was my first go with colour.
But I really will be getting in to B&W I have played around for about the last 2 years, only understanding little but enough to make the odd good mistake.

But I feel I am now getting a better understanding of things and hope with the help here I should be able to grow.

You would be........wrong, I am from Northamptonshire, England. I just went away for a few days there and did a hell of a lot of walking

Welcome, Paul. This is indeed a great place for beginners. Ask all your questions and don't be shy. It is quite rare here for anyone to take it out on a beginner just for asking a question. The breadth of knowledge in this community is amazing.

Paul - welcome from just outside NYC. (Actually I'm an exiled Brit - just don't mention it around July 4!!) There's a wealth of info to pick up searching the threads, and a whole bunch willing to share their knowledge for the asking.
