well, i was wondering about the galleries......how to do you add your photos?

welcome from a fellow chicago area guy.

Below the page header on the gallery page there is a link to upload photos. I look forward to seeing some of yours.

thanks for your help... i am actually a photography student, in hopes of becomming a great photographer..its my passion...so, i wanted to use the crit gallery.

Welcome Asegreti!!
Well, you have found a great place to learn and hone your skills! Everyone here is quick to lend a hand and answer your questions! I've asked very basic questions and learned a lot here. Be sure to check through the old threads and posts. There is just so much here it's sometimes hard to know where to start!
I am looking forward to seeing your pics in the gallery!

Welcome.

When posting for a critique be aware that you may need be specific about what kind of information your looking for and you may want to put work up that is somewhat professional in its presentation (as in spotted, colour corrected or proper contrast and density). The thing about critiques on the web is that there is no reference. So people can easily focus in on the wrong things. Another thing about critiques (one student learned here the hard way) is that by putting up a 'clean' image you are showing some respect for your work, the craft and most importantly the people who you've aske to critique it.

sorry if that sounded like a lecture.

thank you to everyone, for your help and advice...and trust me, i will be sure to specify what i would like to know when i post in the critique gallery, since i tend to never be satisfied and always think my work could be "better"....anyway, as soon as i get a free moment i will add some photos.

Alex

Welcome

Welcome to the site my friend. I'm a newbie, and the people here have been very nice. I'm learning from the vast experience of everyone here. Take care!
