Hi everyone. I am so happy to have found your site! I'm finally going back to school and planning on going for my MFA in photo...all darkroom work I use a 35mm and a Rolleicord V, but am planning on something additional when I hit the lottery.

I'm so looking forward to my independent study this summer as most of the time I'll be the only one in the darkrooom. It gets a little crowded sometimes. I'm signed up this summer for a workshop at Peters Valley in NJ and am really looking forward to it and having 4 days solid, no interruptions, to focus on photo.

I think you've come to the right place.

No need to hit the lottery anymore; LF is as affordable as a used 4x5 today and that ain't much comparatively. Heck even 5x7 and 8x10 can be had for not much more, only the more esoterica "widescreen" aspect ratio LF formats are expensive, but not breathtakingly so if you use your head.

Darkroom equipment is even cheaper yet...

Hi there, Honeydo. Welcome to one of the best sites around. Your other post, about Brownie cameras made me want to go out to the studio and count how many I have. The answer is lots. Sunny days? Yes, but with faster film, you can do clouds as well. Play with it and have fun.
