I’m glad to have found this place full of so much information and accumulated knowledge.
I am an amateur photographer returning to film after using digital camera for 20 years. At that time I worked with 4x5 and 8x10 formats in black and white. I printed many of those in pt/pd.
I lost darkroom space in 2002 and I switched to digital. Pure digital always felt lacking to me because of the lack of any hands on process. I also missed working with the pinhole camera. So, having only pinhole cameras, I have returned to using them.
I load my film after dark with all house lights off.
I am using a Stearman SP-645 developing tank which I can then process in the daylight. I have had excellent results with this method.
To make prints. I have been using a scanned image printed with an Epson pro-310 using archival paper and inks.
I’ve decided to go back to pure analog with an “alternative process” and sun printing using Cyanotype.
This is something I can do. I have room in my bathroom to coat paper.
I will be working on that.
Thanks for reading!

Welcome back to the "dark side!" Nowadays, when printing pt/pd I tend to stick with 4x5 to 5x7; mainly due to the cost of materials. Have fun!

Welcome aboard @jda!

an Epson pro-310
I know there's a Canon imagePROGRAF 310 printer. I expect it'll be OK for making negatives for cyanotype, if you want to go that route.

Actual 4x5" negatives of course will also work. For classic cyanotype you will want to develop your film to a fairly low contrast, and give liberal exposure for good separation in the shadows.

Thanks. I’m not planning to use the Canon printer to make digital negatives yet. I will be using 4x5 film exposed in a pinhole camera.

I talked to Canon support, and the pro-310 can not use transparency film
