Evening denizens of APUG.

I bought myself a Nikon F3 because I lusted after one in J school, and they don't cost like they used to. I tried the new Ektar, and that was it for my digital body.

I know a little. I soup my own in the bathroom and scan, as there's not enough room to print in my appartment. I need to fill in some blanks, and learn some new things. So I'll be here soaking up ideas as often as I can.

Thanks in advance for putting up with some inane questions.

Welcome to APUG Andrew! We'll try our best to fill in the blanks. ;-)

Film has always given me the warm fuzzies I won't say what that other medium does to me. Welcome to the wonderful world we lovingly call Apehug.

Welcome to the clan new kid!

Rick, are we supposed to be wearing our sheets?

Welcome to APUG! And never let it be said that someone's apartment is too small to print in - see (there was a url link here which no longer exists) for examples, specifically David Goldfarb's dark/bath/room. I don't have photos of my old dark/bath/rooms, but I used to have a similar setup for a slightly larger bathroom, where the enlarger and my print developing processor (I have a NOVA vertical slot processor) would fit on a wheeled cart that I could bring in and out of the bathroom. The NOVA processor would let me print up to 16x20 in a 5'x 8' bathroom, using a tray in the tub for the print washer. I did that in two different apartments, and now I have a dedicated darkroom which is 7' x 8' with a 6'5" ceiling. I can still print up to 16x20, and I develop film from 35mm to 14x17 in a Jobo CPP2+. I wish I had a second sink that I could dedicate to the Jobo, but otherwise my darkroom is pretty sufficient.

Andrew - hello and welcome to APUG from western Massachusetts.

Welcome to APUGland!

Welcome to APUG

Welcome Andrew from another (almost) Denver analoger. Keep a watch on the Denver forum as myself and others in the area try to get out together from time to time to immerse ourselves in our passion. We are seriously due for another such jaunt!

Welcome and have fun!

Mike

Thanks, all.

Mike, I'll definately keep an eye out for a meet. Thanks for the heads up.
