I'm currently in the process of scanning my family's negatives collection and correctly putting the negatives in the binder. Currently most of the negatives are in the same sleeves as they came from the lab. A process which is more challenging than I thought, and I don't mean the scanning. Where would be the right forum to ask about archiving negatives?

I also decided to shot analog film and adding to the collection of negatives I have. I got a Minolta srT-303b and a Yashica T4 from my father. Now I also hope to find some people to find spots to shot some film. I live about 20 km south of Hamburg, Germany.

I also have a Pentax K-m DSLR which is a nice little camera but sadly is no longer really up to date, which is weird since the camera is much newer than the Minolta srT-303b.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the link. For me it is mostly about the size of the negative sleeves or more precisely the width. I ordered some out of pergamyn which were supposed to be for 6 frames but they are not, parts of the negative stripe were sticking out of the sleeve, half to a cm more and the stripe would have fitted into the sleeve. On the other hand, the acetate variant is wide enough for 6 frames but does not fit into my binder by 5mm.

I have fitting one by the German company Herma, Fotophan No. 7762, but they are open at the top and not on the side, which opens another can of issues.

Welcome to Photrio.
There are oversized binders around, although they bring rise to issues around storage - if they don't fit in a bookcase, they are inconvenient.
PrintFile in the USA have sold those oversize binders. As European paper sizes differ from North American paper sizes (sometimes) you may be able to find what you need at a specialty office supply store.
You also may wish to deal with your new negatives going forward by cutting them to a more convenient length. That will mean two different sizes of binders - that choice is up to you.
Good luck .
