Wanted to say hello and what a terrific forum. I'm a commercial photographer and have been since 1991. Started out shooting film on Nikons, Hasselblads and Sinar cameras and went to digital around 2000. Since then I have really missed the process of analog photography and the great cameras and lenses. Film just has soul and so do the cameras. I picked up a Leica M2 with 35 and 50 Summicrons and a Voigtlander 21 about three months ago and have started developing my B&W film again. The first time in almost 10 years. Last week I picked up a Nikon F2, (favorite 35mm), with a MD 1 and 50 1.4 Nikkor, and look forward to shooting with both cameras, mainly for personal projects. Anyway, I'm really happy to be shooting film again and glad to be here.

Thanks Ian. No relation to the bread folks, although I do have a pack of unopened crackers, with my name on it. I would like to find an old advertisement they had, "Have You Had Your Hovis Today?"

I know the feeling my father & grandfather were most upset they weren't related to the Grant's and Bell's whisky distillers :D Although that didn't stop my great-grandfather & one of his brothers buying their whisky by the barrel straight from a Scottish Distillery, (delivered by horse & cart).

What you want that Hovis advert for are you planning on selling your personal services

No, just my commercial ones:smile:

Thanks Chris. I bookmarked your online magazine and plan on checking it out soon. Glad to see so much interest in analog photography.

Hovis,

An F2, MD-1 and a 1.4,... you see even after being lured by the digital demons, you still have good taste....

From one F2 with a MD-1 and a 1.4 (and Hasselblad) user to another, welcome to the forum

Thanks Jeff and Ira.

Those digital demons, damn them! I now have a good balance.

Hasselblad, that is probably next. Funny how I'm re-purchasing the things I once had and got rid of.
