Hi, everyone.

My name is Liz, an engineer based in Switzerland.

I started film photography last month and I have to admit I still have no clue what I am doing. I've been lurking on this forum since and have found very helpful tips.

Glad to be here.

Hi Liz and welcome to APUG! I've only had a few days in Switzerland but the photos on your blog remind me why I'd like to go back there to revisit it.

Welcome on APUG!

Not sure everybody always know what they are doing (at least it's sometimes my case ;-) ), but it's part of the fun also!

Welcome to APUG

We do not know what we are doing either!

Welcome! Lots of engineers here. I'm an electronics engineer from the telecommunications industry. If I ever figured out what I was doing, I would have to find a different hobby with new problems to solve.

Welcome Liz.

I've visited Switzerland many times. Without a doubt it is the most beautiful country that I've see. You will have an abundance of photographic opportunities. know I did during my visits.

"I'm... a poster child for mismanaged anger. I'm often mistaken for a mail-order bride or someone who eats puppies for breakfast, on a good day. I hate people. I despise broccoli. I love to whine. I'm a hypocrite. I cannot write. Also, I'm shallow."

Wow. You're going to fit in perfectly here...

Why should you be any different?

But seriously, Viele liebe Grusse, and just ask questions like the rest of us do. There's a whole world to learn.

Thank you, everyone for the warm welcome.

Great to know there are a lot of fellow engineers (and families of engineers).

Switzerland is indeed a beautiful country. Pretty as a postcard.

I have always been partial to the Jungfrau Interlaken region.

I have always been partial to the Jungfrau Interlaken region.

Jungfrau was the first ever area I visited.

Grüezi! I'm in Switzerland every year, stomping about with my Large Format camera - we always end up in Zürich - beautiful city - I have the GPS coordinates for confisserie Sprüngli bookmarked in my phone...

Marc!

Salli, Marc. Wow, LF! Still a dream for me. I practically live at Confiserie Sprüngli in Bahnhoffstrasse. :D

I see you've been shooting in Zug, have you been to see Ars-Imago for all of your film and developing needs? They're great. Welcome to APUG.

Welcome. I'm clueless in Luzern

Oh yay! I'm planning to do a photo walk in Luzern one of these days.

Yes, I love Zug. And I always go to Ars Imago. I think I'm there every week to get my supplies.

I have to admit I still have no clue what I am doing.

Some of us have no clue either... or forgot about it...
(Keep in mind most of us are older than you.)

Welcome to Apug!

Grüezi!

Welcome to APUG. My father was born in Switzerland, and I lived there for a time years ago. I'll confess, living too close to the Sprüngli on the Bahnhofstrasse would be heavenly, if challenging to keep the pounds off. Lots of good information here on film and analog photography. Hope we can help you figure it all out!!
