And also Flickr (Hachi Gatsu as I'm known on there). Took me awhile but I eventually made my way on over here.

For those who don't know, I shoot and experiment with different films in both color and black and white, most in the 35mm size at the moment, however I do have a small stash of Polaroid Cameras (both 100 series pack film and integral film), two 120 film cameras (Diana F+ and Agfa Ventura 66), and a few large format camera builds in the future (pinholes for starters moving up to custom made rail cameras).

Recently I've been souping 35mm microfilms and other high contrast films (Eastman SO-331, Kodak Kodalith Type III, Eastman 5369) in Frugal Photographer Bluefire HR Developer. It's still a little early into the experiments but I've been getting some pleasing results (going for continuous tones). Attached is one of my recent examples using Fuji Super HR 35mm microfilm. I shot this using a Canon EOS 10s with a Takumar 55mm f/2 on an M42 adapter. Developed for 14 minutes at 68 F (20 C) with light agitation the first minute and five seconds of light agitation the following minutes after. Water stop bath and fixed for two minutes in Clayton Odorless fixer.

Welcome to APUG

Always glad to see a Film Photography Podcast fan on APUG. I've always wondered: what does Hachi Gatsu mean?

It was a nickname I had in college (which is when I started my Flickr account), it's Japanese for the month of "August" and since my first name is August, my Japanese friends thought it fitting to just call me Hachi Gatsu. And since then it's just kind of stuck.

Welcome to APUG, looks like you've got that microfilm pretty well figured out.

Welcome! I'm close by in Rice Lake. You should enjoy things here and new blood is a great thing for us!

Cheese mate, and welcome to APUG, from nearly always sunny vegetable, fruit, and nutty Central Valley Modesto California!

Refugee from Door County. Welcome to the grand collection of Analog folk.

Hello. I know of a really good photographer from Eau Claire, Travis Dewitz: Dead Link Removed
