Hi, from Invercargill, New Zealand and yes, I do live this far south.
I've been a photographer for a long time, with a few lapses when other hobbies took priority.
Now it's the Number One.
I use a variety of cameras, with an equal variety of results. The range down from a cardboard 8x10 pinhole, through an RB67, on to a variety of Pentaxes and a Zorki 4K.
I have my own darkroom, which I'll get back into when, if ever, spring warms up.
What do I photograph? Almost anything
And I dabble in some alternative processes.

Welcome. I too have an RB67 (and loads of other junk... I mean fine precision photographic equipment).

Kia ora StanW, and a big welcome to APUG.
The Roaring Forties, eh. Not as good weather-wise as a sunny day in the Catlins.. I was lucky to get out by the skin of my teeth at Bluff in 2006 when locals simply said it was "a bit windy!" The upside is you're in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and if I recall, oh-so-close to the bewitching Fiordland. <sigh>...

Hi Stan and welcome, and I don't know how long you've lived in Invercargill but it is one place where spring does not ever warm up.

Welcome to the forum, Stan. And I will forebear making mention of my owning an RB67 as well.

Oops. I really gotta work on the inner dialogue.

Welcome Stan, from a "new" RB67 user. Never been to the South Island, but I sure enjoyed the north.

Welcome, Stan. I don't have an RB67, but I've thought about getting one.

Welcome!

I have been to Invercargill a couple times. I have to admit "Roaring" would not be a word I would use to describe the town  . But also I was staying at the Youth Hostel and basically was there on my way to Stewart Island (once by ferry, once by plane), so I did not really get to know the place.

Both times were around Christmas, so the weather was quite nice (that is, the storms were warmer -- that plane ride to Stewart Island was one of the craziest landings I have experienced! We had to take the ferry back to Bluff.)

But welcome again!

Vaughn
