Medium Format
Hello everyone,

My name is Thomas. I'm just getting into medium format photography. Since prices have fallen on good old film cameras I was able to score 2 nice medium format cameras. A Mamiya RZ67 pro II and a Fuji GX 680 III.

I found this forum and it looks like a fantastic place to learn and I look forward to talking with all of you.

I have spent the last 10 years or so shooting 16mm motion picture film. I'm now going to try my hand at still photography. It should be a lot of fun !! :D

Welcome, Thomas, from near Washington, DC

Hi,

Welcome to the group!

I live in Houston but am posting from the beautiful Ukraine.

Steve.

I live in Dallas and just got into 8mm motion film.

Remember that it's a bit brighter than Sunny-16 here. Almost-but-not-quite Sunny 22.

Welcome from northern Indiana. I have family in Texas. You are really going to like medium format, I'm sure. But be forewarned: 35mm will look teensy-weensy forevermore!

Thanks. I think I'm going to like it. I wasn't going to take it this far but a friend just gave me a bunch of lab equipment including a durst L1200 cls 501 enlarger so I'll be making my own prints also. Fun times ahead !!

Welcome Thomas, from a very cold ( for June ) north of England, you will love the quality that M/F will produce.
