I have been doing some sort of photography since the late 70's, first with a couple of point-and-shoots which I don't have any more, then from the early 90's with a Minolta SR-1 and later an XG-7, before going digital around 2005. Lately I have started to get more interested in film again and have taken out the two Minoltas. And a few days ago I got myself an old Reflekta II TLR. It seems to be in ok condition, the only issues being the self timer doesn't work, and the focus lever is very hard. The mirror has seen better days, but it'll do for now.

Looking forward to putting some film in it and see how it performs!

I used Minolta slrs for years great cameras and great lenses.

Welcome to APUG Photrio!!

Welcome fellow Minolta shooter. My carry right now is a XGM, last in the X series of their bodies from what I understand. I've the 50mm F1.4 and years ago got a freebie 35mm Miida F2.8 that I never used and just recently which got a CLA. Digital testing with an adapter for the lens before the cla showed sharpness equal to the 50mm F1.4.
Shooting may be postponed a little what with work and/or weather here in Georgia, USA. Question, do you shoot in the winter? What do you like to shoot?

I was in Oslo and Bo in 2019, had a great time!! Wonderful Country, wish I had more time to spend in it!

Welcome to the club @hansp!

I switched from digital to black and white analogue 4 years ago and after discovering this community there was simply no going back. So, you have come to the right place. I have discovered Minolta only just recently after owning and shooting quite at few Canons and Nikons. For 2021 a XG1 and XD5 will be my main shooters (next to my trusty Leica M2).

Happy Shooting!
