Hello from New York City!

Hi there! I’m new to the forum. I’ve been a hobbyist shutterbug since college (early 2000s).

Recently got the bug to learn how to develop and print my own photos so I’m learning at the ICP in NYC.

Most of my photo making right now is with film and some favorites can be seen in this album (places) and this one (pets and other wild beings).

I tend towards landscape, scenes, and other beings though I do love photographing friends and fam.

My dad gave me his dad’s Minolta Hi-matic 7 which is admittedly so cumbersome to use but I just love it.

Digital gear I love my Nikon Z7 with 24-200mm.

It's a mixture of B&W and color. Start with limiting yourself to B&W processing and you will have a much easier time!

Appreciate the tip! I only do BW processing for now. Color is as the mood strikes ️ but truthfully I think I prefer it to B&W! Do you process in color?

I triedcolor color once (Ilfochrome) but got frustrated with color casts and gave up.
