I'm new to this community, even if I follow your suggestions in the posts since some years.

I'm "just" an analog lover, without any artistic pretension. My way to photography is "just" to make a craftwork and run away from the digital invasion in any private corner of our life.

If any traveler would need a support in my area (Milan, lake Maggiore), please feel free to contact me, I will be happy to help other analog users.

welcome to the forum and this is a very nice offer, so I will make you an offer in return I will be spending a week or so in Val Sesia hiking at the end of June/beginning of July. A friend from Lago Maggiore (he lives in Ranco, not far from Angera) will join me there. Let me know via PM if you need any supplies from Germany or anything that is difficult or expensive to obtain in Italy (cheap drugstore film or stuff from online vendors like Maco/Phototec etc. comes to my mind), I could hand the stuff over to him and you could pick it up at his place in July if this makes sense for you.

I live in front of Ranco, on the other side of the lake. Val Sesia is a nice place for hiking, with many different reliefs, from small hills to the 4000 mts of Monte Rosa. 2 years ago I made an high trail, Altavia Tullio Vidoni, which has very nice views on the Alps. Ciao

You stirred my interest, I looked up the Altavia T. Vidoni, it's a multi-day trek around Corno Bianco ... wow ... Actually, I have been close to this area when I was in Val Vogna last September. Simply beautiful. I'm still gathering experience in the mountains and a 5 day trek would be probably too much for me right now, but I might consider this at some point. At the end of June we will be in Val Antrona for two or three days and after that for a week to Rimella, our favourite destination in Val Sesia so far. When you say that you live opposite of Ranco you are probably also not far from Val Grande ... So many possibilities in that area, I envy you!

I see you are a very expert of the area! If you have never been I suggest you also Alpe Veglia and Alpe Devero. My favourite trail is the 3-4 days tour from Simplon Pass to Formazza, accessible in winter too ;-)
