Hello everyone, I have been looking for a forum devoted solely to film photography for ages,& finally I have found one!
I started off with a Coronet Box camera when I was 11 years old,& I adapted a Tiddly-Winks Dice cup to fit on the lens as a Lens Hood!
Happy days.....
I learnt my photographic skills,(such as they are!) by reading books and magazines like Amateur Photographer, (remember Victor Blackman and Ron Spillman?)
I recently developed my first roll of FP4 for about 4 years, having become increasingly disillusioned with results from digital cameras, they just have not got that special quality that a film camera produces, (especially in B/W).
I am currently using R09, (Rodinal), developer 1+25 for 8mins @20c, and am very pleased with the results so far.
Am looking forward to setting up my darkroom again when funds permit, meanwhile posting on the Web.
Hoping to make some new friends whilst here.
