Since the trend seems to be beginning with "Hello from..." why not run with it.

I'm in central Japan, and have been here for a few years. There's always something to photograph here, and every weekend never seems long enough to explore the country (even just my neighbourhood).

I have done film for many, many years, but went into hiatus for a bit *cough(used digital) cough, cough... and now wanting to put the old Minolta MD lenses back into use. Previously I loved doing everything in black and white, mostly because I enjoyed seeing the effects that my yellow-green, and red filters had, but will be happy to go with whichever is cheaper to process these days.

(Hmm... I think that's an introduction)

Welcome from northern Indiana in the USA. It sounds as if you have lots of photo opportunities there.

Welcome from another exiled Brit. Have fun. Japan boasts some absolutely incredible artists to get your creative juices going.

See you around.

Welcome! I spent six years in Japan -- it's where I bought my first SLR, learned (i.e. was gently persuaded by other Japanese) that Fuji is better than Kodak, and dealt with many bemused, but friendly older Japanese men with their huge Canon systems who liked to teach me how to use my Nikon FE. I would love to go back, now that I've switched primarily to black and white.

Post some photos when you can!

Welcome, winjeel. That digital cough is best treated in a darkroom with the wafting smell of fixer.
