As the title reads, hello from Nagoya, Japan (Nagoya is close to the city of Toyota and located between Osaka and Tokyo).

I have been a member of APUG back in the day and use 35mm most since the 80s. After moving to Japan, I finally made the switch from Nikon SLR (F3HP, FM) to Leica and have since used most of their rangefinder cameras. Occasionally also medium format (Hasselblad, Rolleiflex, Ricohflex, Moskva-5 and some other cameras), 4x5 (Linhof Technika IV), and recently also Minox subminiature cameras.

I develop BW film myself, did some C41 color in the past but haven't printed anything in the last years due to lack of space. For years, I used a Coolscan4000ED for scanning but now switched to a SONY A7 with Micro-Nikkor 55/2.8 and like the results better. Still optimizing the setup, though.

Looking forward to meet many interesting people from all over the world!

Cheers from Nagoya,

Gabor (maddoc)

Hello maddoc. Welcome! Since you’re in Japan, you have quicker (and more affordable?) access to all that wonderful used gear that we find on eBay. Lucky you! - Well, that and really tasty food [photrio deleted my little bento box icon. Très retro.]

Cheers from Virginia.

Welcome (back) Gabor! It's nice to have another Japanese resident on board!
