Welcome. I’ll be in Italy next month to see the Venice Biennale and a few days in Florence.

VinceInMT: you're welcome in Italy. Are you a cinema passionate? Me, I love especially b/w movies of 40's and 50's. If I can, I suggest to visit not only the Lido (the island where the Biennale is located), but also the other tiny island in Venice laguna, as Torcello, Pellestrina, San Michele, San Lazzaro...there are stunning corners and landscapes out of touristic tours. Florence is the city where I spent the years of my University studies, you will love the city and the surroundings areas

Welcome Alfredo. Italy has been one of my wife and my favorite places to visit having been there at least five times. I drove each time. I'm not sure what transforms an Italian once they get behind the wheel of a car but driving there has always been an adventure. If you visit the US and drive especially out West be prepared for long distances. Last month while visiting my youngest son in Houston for his 50th birthday we went to Big Bend National Park which was a 10 hour drive one way (at least he did the driving).

Hello Jeffrey. Ah, I'm a non-standard italian guy: drive slowly, didn't like pasta, vino, noise. What's wrong with me? Don't know, really I would love to visit the whole USA, anyway being an Ansel Adams fan I would love for sure to visit and photograph South West States. Fun fact: 10 hours driving it's the time I spent to reach my mother's vacation house in Calabria...after that I need at least one entire day to recover myself ahahah
