My name is Jarmo and I am retired biologist. I took my first photographs using my father’s Agfa Isolette over 40 years ago and since then I have been fascinated with photography. My favourite subjects are plants, landscape and still life. About 5 years ago I got an old Durst Laborator 1000 and built my own darkroom. I shoot both 35mm and 6x6 using mainly FP4+, Tri-X and Velvia50. In the near future I will try large format. This is a wonderful site. I’m glad I found it.

My first camera was also an Agfa Isolette which my father bought for me in 1975 when I was ten. I still use one now but, regretably, not the same one.
