Hi,
I wanted to say hello to the community this way.
I've started taking pictures when I was a child, using cheap range finder cameras, got my first slr when I was in my teens and lost my connection to photography in my late twens.
Funny, but by starting to shoot photos with the phone, and posting on instagram, I found my way back to inspiration in photography.
And finally I came back to analog photography, starting to explore the joys of large format photography using a Linhof 4x5 Technikardan and a vintage 8x10 Agfa Ansco camera. Newest member of the team is a converted Polaroid Pathfinder 110a, using 4x5 sheet film to.
Today I'm more and more interested in alternative processes and DIY projects.
At the moment, there is the skeleton of an Eastman 2D Full Plate on my workbench, waiting to rise again as my new wet plate camera.
My instagram is still with me, but today I post much more results of my analog work than digital shots there.
And like all the other people ,I meet all over the world, just call me Derik! ;-)
