Hello from France !

Hi everybody,

I'm a mechanical engineering student from France who signed up onto this forum because I have some trouble with my Nikon FE and I wanted to seek help to revive it. I've also got a Canon 1N and Minox GT35 to play with will I find a way to fix the Nikon.

Bonjour et bienvenue! The Nikon FE is my main shooter (for 35mm) - I've tried others, but really just love the simplicity of the FE. In the past when something went wrong (and well beyond my repair skills, which, let's face it, are negligible) I just bought another to replace it. The good thing though, is that I'll have lots of spare parts around if and when it becomes more difficult and/or expensive to keep up this habit.

I used to live in France myself and joined Photrio (then APUG) while living in Nancy. Can't wait to go back once this pandemic is over. In any event, it's great to have you here!

@mooseontheloose: Nice feedback, I would love to use that FE camera it's a challenge. Hopefully I will find the good tip here and solve my issue... if not I will be looking for a FM2 body here maybe.

Welcome! I too used to live in France — in Paris — and spent five years loving everywhere I went in France. I’d rarely leave my apartment without a camera, as it seems to be a country that demands to be photographed! Nice of you to join us...
