Hello all,

My name is James & I am a film photography geek...

I have been shooting with various kids of cameras that I have been able to afford. I am a frugal film photographer so my gear is almost always second hand, which I prefer as I like the idea of recycling. I have recently had fall in my lap most of what I need to get started in developing my own film. This excites me since I have never been taught how & learning new things is fun.

My current camera gear consists of

Yashica T2 (I bring it with me EVERYWHERE)
Holga 120N
Canon Canonet 28
Canon UL-3100CB
Argus 75
Argus A

I hope to get a better rangefinder in the future (looking at a Yashica Electro 35), and maybe a nice SLR & TLR to add to my collection.

Hey doomtroll James. I am from Russell. Though I went west to Portland. Hi.

Welcome to the forum, James.

Hello and welcome! I don't know how far you are from Parsons Kansas, but I suggest taking a drive up to Dwayne's photo to see their Kodachrome machine!

Hello James welcome to APUG! Even thought your equipment might be used still is excellent.

Jeff

Hello, James. No reason to be ashamed about using old cameras and call yourself frugal.

I love finding old cameras, although I like to think that they find me. Then nurse them back to health, if required. Sometimes it is more like a major operation, rather than just nursing.

Load them up with expired film, process, and then print on long expired paper. Sit back and love the result, or try again.

Any twit can take a snap with a digicam. Getting a photo outof difficult situations is something to be proud of.
