Hi,
I am an ex-pat American living in Berlin and that 14 years and going strong. I have found this forum to be extremely informative and entertaining, so I thought it's time I introduced myself.

Ah, Berlin... City of My Mis-Spent Youth! I was stationed there with the 298th US Army Band at Andrews Barracks from '79 to '82. Used the darkroom facilities at McNair Barracks (an old Telefunken factory) until I built my own in my apartment. I loved that town...

Welcome aboard!

OK, how did my reply wind up at the head of the thread? Is it just my system that's acting funny here?

I shoot primarily MF (500C/M) and also 35mm with various assorted cameras including Rollei 35s, Zenit and a Leica M4 (I tend to spend too much time on eBay buying stuff I truly do not need). I have a small darkroom and use primarily FB paper and a Heiland Splitgrade module with a Meopta Magnifax 4a enlarger. I am not a pro but do spend an inordinate amount of time on this 'hobby'. I am always glad to meet people with similar interests in Berlin and surroundings, so drop a line!

Welcome

Welcome to APUG and I believe we have someone else in your fair city...

Welcome from Hawaii!! Germany is one of my favorite places (I lived there from 79-81), and I am looking forward to seeing some of your work, I believe there are a couple of other members from Germany on here as well.

Hello from St. Louis, MO. I visited West/East Berlin back in '86 and would love to go back sometime and see how it has changed since then.

Welcome to APUG. I made my first trip to Berlin about a year ago, and I'll definitely be coming back again.

Welcome. Nice to have another Berlin shooter. A rival to Thomas Krebs who may have migrated to Italy anyway for the winter judging by his latest submission.

Oh, Berlin, Zenit and Meopta enlarger... sounds all that familiar  Cheers from Moscow, Hal! I always thought that Moscow and Berlin are in fact the same city, split in two somehow... the same Geist, you know. APUG is a wonderful place, so welcome!

"Too much time on ebay"? You mean that you have a 30x40cm Russian camera too??? I thought there were only two of us! :D

Welcome, by the way
